Most countries require labeling or outright bans on GMOs- except for the U.S. and Canada

In 40 countries, including Australia, Japan and all European Union nations, there are significant restrictions or outright bans on the production of GMOs because they are not considered proven safe. The U.S. and Canada, however, still do not require the labeling of GMOs.
